Meet Dr. Audra MacCorkle
Dr. Audra MacCorkle, DVM, RCVS
Dr. Audra completed her undergraduate education at UC Irvine in 1995 with honors. She received a B.S. in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology as well as qualifying for a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Fine Arts. She graduated from the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Dr. Audra has completed extensive coursework in Animal Chiropractic (AVCA), Acupuncture/TCM (IVAS), Herbology (IVAS), Homeopathy (AVH), Applied Kinesiology, Physical Therapy (University of Tennessee), and is a Reiki Master of the Usui lineage. She is licensed in the states of Texas and Oregon, as well as California. Dr. Audra is also a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the UK and has also been licensed in BC, Canada. She enjoys collaborating with her international colleagues in an effort to learn different approaches to solving patients’ disease processes.
She has a special interest integrative medicine for exotics, equine, farm animals, and wildlife. She is also a member of the Inner Circle Integrative Oncology group mentored by Dr. Kendra Pope, a highly skilled boarded veterinary oncologist with vast training in integrative and holistic modalities. Dr. Audra prefers leaning more towards natural remedies and nutrition than pharmaceuticals when at all possible.
In addition to her concierge service house calls, private consultation, and training programs at Dr. Audra is the founder and a practice owner of Healing Touch Veterinary Wellness Center in Tarzana, CA as well as a practice owner of Foothill Pet Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She currently practices integrative medicine using all of tools she has before her to best serve each patient.
When not researching innovative and ancient treatment options or caring for her patients Dr. Audra enjoys gardening, cooking, writing music, and spending as much time as possible with her 3 boys and menagerie of four legged family members.
